Quotes about the Bible
How do you feel about the Bible? Do you find it challenging to read? Do you view it as another Christian chore that you are struggling with?
What does your personal Bible study life say about your relationship with God? Do you know the beauty behind making a daily habit of reading Scripture?
These are all questions that we should continually be asking ourselves. My hope is that these quotes are used to help revolutionize your personal Bible study.
The importance of reading the Bible daily
Daily Bible reading is essential to knowing God intimately and to know His will for our lives. The Bible is the heart and mind of God and the more you read Scripture, the more you will have His heart and mind. The Bible is filled with God’s promises to believers, but if we are not in His Word, then we are missing out on Him and His promises. What steps are you taking to ensure that you are in God’s Word daily?
Do you see the importance of spending time with your Creator daily? Take a moment to realize that the glorious Creator of the universe has invited us to know Him more in His Word. He desires to speak to you through the Bible. He desires to be in those daily situations that we go through.
Are you allowing Him to touch you with His Words? If so, then don’t allow your Bible to catch dust. Continue to open up the Bible and allow God to speak. The more you read Scripture the more you will grow in your hatred for sin. The more you read Scripture the more you will desire to live a life pleasing to Him. Everything in our life begins to change when we are in His Word daily.

Meditating on God’s Word
It’s so easy to read the Bible. However, how many of us actually meditate on God’s Word? Let’s examine ourselves. Are we focusing on God and allowing Him to speak to us? Are we seeking to understand what God is communicating through His Word? Are we allowing God to remind us of His faithfulness?
Meditate on Scripture to worship the Lord and to allow Him into your daily walk with Christ. When we mediate on God’s Word, not only are we gaining head knowledge, but we are also cultivating a heart like Christ. Are you currently lacking love? Are you having a hard time trusting the Lord? If so, get into the Word. Meditate on His truths.
When you meditate on the Word day and night you will notice that you have a greater sense of His direction. You will have more of a hunger and desire for His Word. Dullness in your spiritual life begins to diminish and you begin to crave and anticipate time with the Lord. You will also begin to notice that you have more joy and love for others. Don’t miss out on what God desires to do to and through you from the daily mediation of the Bible.

God’s love in the Bible
Imagine receiving a box of love letters from your spouse who is currently overseas, but you never open the box. You would be missing out on his beautiful intimate words towards you. Unfortunately, many are missing out on God’s beautiful intimate words because we leave His love letters on our book shelf.
God does more than just tell us that He loves us in the Bible. God demonstrates His love for us and invites us into a personal love relationship with Him. Have you ever doubted God’s love you? God speaks through His Word
Hebrews 4:12 states that God’s Word is living and active. His Word is alive and has the power to cut deep into our souls. We serve a God who is always speaking. The question for us is, are we always listening to His Voice? Have we begun to cherish His voice and jump at the thought of hearing Him?
When we devote ourselves to God’s Word His voice becomes clearer. Let the preciousness of that statement sink in. “His voice becomes clearer.” I encourage you to pray before and after your read Scripture. Pray that He speaks to you. Meditate on every line of Scripture and allow the Lord to speak life into your soul. Talk to Him as you read, but remember to be a good listener.
